Nightlight

starlight shines down on the beautiful face of night

though cruel red stains her white hands

the earth breaks continuously as we lay her down

and bury her deep in the sands



the sounds of the great moons mourning

shinning down on the face of night

gives caution to the winds

and makes this right



her smooth face now covered

we see her no more

a shiver crawls down my spine

and she slowly opens the door



her body slowly floats away

into the great night sky

her life taken by my hands

as i mute my cry



she was loved and left

taken care of in the end

now her body of night lays in the earth

and her soul is now spent



the name of this love is sin

and though she was right with death

his cool hand still grabbed her

and pulled my heart from her chest
