The Blue Rose

I am reminded of the last winter when I died,

I can still feel the warmth of the snow falling from the palm of the sky,

I was alone in my room plunged in great sadness,

I could not find any meaning in all the things I was doing,

How did Leonardo become great by drawing the Mona Lisa,

How did Sir Isaac Newton discover gravity just after being hit by an apple,

What is that single thing which distinguished these two Great Souls from the mortals,

I was entangled in deciphering the language of the universe,

I suddenly fell asleep and I dreamed,

In my dream I found myself in white robes in a beautiful garden,

I spotted flowers which I had never seen before,

I roamed and roamed and roamed,

To my great amazement I saw Sir Isaac Newton kneeling down with his entire focus in a pond of water,

I talked to him but he did not pay attention,

I walked further and lo I saw Leonardo DaVinci doing the same thing as Sir Isaac Newton,

I tried to talk to Leonardo but in vain,

All of a sudden a pond appeared a few distance away,

I rushed to the pond and tried to look in it,

I could not see my reflection,

I looked into it again but still could not see anything,

Just as I was about to turn away ripples began to form in the water,

To my great surprise a  blue rose appeared in the water,

I tried to touch it but I was not able to,

So I  put my entire focus on the blue rose,

After some time I looked around myself and the garden had disappeared,

There was only the pond and myself,

I looked deeply into the pond,

To my great surprise I saw the reflection of Leonardo and Newton,

They were also staring at the blue rose as if they had spotted the Philosopher's Stone,

All of a sudden everything disappeared,

I rubbed my eyes and found myself on the bed,

With the blue rose in my right hand.
