Man in the moon
snaps photographs
of water color
–sepia tones:
blues and browns
in a circular frame;
highlighted by life.
Six billion lights
shine brightly as
the man develops
in his dark room:
dark side of the moon.
With a distant red orb,
dimly lit overhead
to provide eerie glows
as he works to show
our picture-perfect
world.
But frames broke,
And colors faded –
Fog covered the lens.
Left water colors:
washed out
and sepia tones:
blurred.
No need for
flash photography
when we’ve
over-exposed
our world.
