Was she really what she seemed?
I see her eyes, they look so bright,
shining light into the night,
I watch her closely as she nears,
and I see her eyes are full of fears,

I'm holding on with baited breath,
She has such beauty, pale as death,
Hair as fair, as her soul,
But deep inside she feels alone,

A fantasy is where she lives,
A dream world that never gives,
People look, and think 'She's perfect',
To her, her life seems so derelict

A kiss, a touch, it's all I want,
I looked again and she was gone,
A dream, an image, is all she was,
And I fell in love: just because.
