A spring poem that I wrote for fun and then entered in a youtube contest. Enjoy :)
Soft Noise

In the midnight hour, there is a sound,
As soft as leaves, yet barely found,
To strain your ears, an ancient bird,
Don't try too hard, you won't be heard

In the anxious rush of the passing days,
It is overlooked, hardly a phrase
The sound is new, not easily found,
Among the crowns, nor on the ground

It is foreign, but don't you fret,
It poses no imposing threat
And if you take the time to find,
It's meaning true, you won't be blind

The blindfold might be taken off,
If at my request, you do not scoff.
For I am Spring, that sound is mine,
My voice is heard within the swine.

If they will listen, then why don't you?
I'll teach you all that's right and true
I bring the warmth, leave frost behind,
Grandfather clocks, you'll slowly wind

I melt the snow, and the crystal ice,
For I bring instead something very nice
Leisurely buds, in the colour pink,
Sit still and I'll give you some time to think.

The tinkering rain, tap-dances along,
On your window sill in the early dawn
But in the morning, I stay true to my word
Which in this time, is a thing truly unheard.

The traces of rain are very discreet,
Glistening dew drops to tickle your feet.
But as the day wears on, they will recede,
You shan't be prudent, of your brisk speed.

Instead you'll find when you awaken,
A brand new road, a path untaken
Be guided along, by the morning sun,
It'll kiss your face, and begin your fun

The mask will be melted, by the golden light,
Your senses awaken, you can now take flight
Now graciously dance in the patent field,
No need to take heed, no time to yield.

And your bare toes, just caress the ground,
You might have been lost, but now you are found.
Newborn animals peep through disheveled grass,
And as you watch, some time will pass.

They will gain courage, don't be afraid,
Now watch! Through the spacious field they wade.
Slowly at first, but gaining speed,
Making their way, through unruly weed

And when you reach out, nervous yet sure,
The rest might or might not seem like a blur.
The young's soft fur, so pleasant to touch,
was and still is, hunted for much.

But you do not care, and you two bond,
Of the Spring, yes me, you are awfully fond.
You pick the fruit, that is now grown,
And find a flower, which you have been shown.

It is a new start, a time of rebirth,
Come close now, and connect with the Earth.
Spring cleaning, spring break, and activities too,
How to keep it balanced? There is so much to do!

But please don't forget, to keep me around,
That sweet, soft voice, that quite sound
I remember all of my promises to you,
But what about you? Will you also stay true?

As I am not sure, this is your chance,
Show me your gratitude, don't be frightened to dance
And one day, you'll see, as your reward,
Unlike the reckless ones, you'll avoid the sword.

So, yes, Spring is new, but just keep in mind,
What is once lost, isn't always easy to find.
