A tragic poem of the demise of the legendary Winter Knight
Through the frozen trees,
his heart snapped in two
the young knight was doomed to die;
this he knew.

The air was cold,
his breath like smoke,
but through his pain...
not a word he spoke.

Frost coated his armour
of shining steel,
in this Forest of Winter,
life seemed unreal.

Young was the knight,
only eighteen,
who's heart was shattered
by the Draconian queen

Arayus was her name,
who quickly took flight,
before the end of the war
and the return of the knight.

He returned from the war,
which was so long and bloody,
to find only a note,
within the queen's study.

Coldy, it said,
that she loved him no more,
and as pain flooded his heart,
he collapsed to the floor...

Tears streaked his face,
his fists were clenched tight,
he ran to the woods
in the early dawn light

Through the forest he ran
to the tall silver gates,
his heart full of pain,
of misery and hate.

And now here he was,
in the Forest of winter,
where the snow glowed like gems,
and the trees seemed to glimmer.

He came to a clearing
with a massive, clear lake
and he knealt there and wept
as his heart forever ached...

For centuries he knealt there,
in unbearable pain,
through pelting hail
and cold, freezing rain...
