Poem written to my wife while deployed to Afghanistan!!! Enjoy!!!
Though we're 9 hours apart,
And hardly get to speak.
Somehow she manages,
To still make me weak.

My love for her grows,
as each day goes by.
And even to this day,
I ask myself "Why?"

Why do I deserve,
A woman so grand.
That God has given me,
To walk with hand in hand.

The look in her eyes,
As she's looking in mine.
And her arms wrapped around me,
is nothing short of divine.

Divine describes her well,
for she's and Angel from above.
Sent to the earth,
As my one and only true love.

And as I watch the sunset,
It's beauty doesn't compare.
To her soft milky skin,
And her shiny red hair.

She is my real princess,
Yet when she's under my wing.
She still somehow manages,
To treat me like a king.

So forever we'll be together,
Living each day in royalty.
And knowing that no matter what,
We'll always have our loyalty.

For no one else on earth,
Could ever compare to her.
I just hope that I'm the king,
That this princess deserves.
