This is a short poem I wrote from looking at a picture of a little girl.
Mommy's Big Mirror

Every time I go into Mommy's room and look
into her big, shiny mirror
I see a girl, like me, there.

When I am happy she is smiling and laughs
with me.

Other times big tears stain her soft, small cheeks
and I wonder why she is sad, am I.

We seem to giggle and weep at the same time,
each knowing
that sitting back to back, we can laugh, cry, or
just sit quiet.

I don't know her name, does she know mine, or
shall we keep that a secret, not to tell, and
make it a game , just between the two uf us?

Is she my twin, or my guardian angel, sent
to be my bestest friend when I am lonely, or
is it just me looking
back at me, looking back at me.............?

I truely know which it is, but
I really love this game that I play
with my friend, in Mommy's big, shiny mirror.
