The second poem I wrote for my children's space themed poetry book.
The stars in the sky that twinkle at night,
Will someday fade and cease to be bright,
Losing it's beautiful, shimmering light,
And forever vanish from mankind's sight,

Some stars go out with an explosive array,
Destroying planets that get in the way,
Scientists can witness this colossal display,
Using large telescopes to see far away,

Our sun is too young to burn us to toast,
And turn our planet into a celestial ghost,
We coexist well, much better than most,
Better to be hot, than to burn up and roast
