What do stars see when they look down?
Stars always shine brightly.
Even as bombs burn the air around.
Their twinkling ever so sightly.
While people talk high and mightily.
Their beauty seems to always surround.
Stars always shine brightly.
As people grovel and try to act contritely.
Out of reach, infinitely abound.
Their twinkling ever so sightly.
People dare to hope, but only slightly.
While their home is reduced to only a mound.
Stars always shine brightly.
As children cling to their mothers tightly.
They see it all, always looking down.
Their twinkling ever so sightly.
Some try to turn their heads, if ever so slightly.
But stars see it all, eyes fixed and bound.
Stars always shine brightly.
Their Twinkling ever so sightly.
