A Rhyme Royal of grief in the final loss of a lover.
The bird that sang within my heart is mute.
An "out damned spot" remembered from Macbeth,
That palliates the hunger of the brute,
Yet never numbs my anguish at the death.
Alone. The song now carried on my breath,
"Alas, it is not you but I that died
An unfamiliar form of suicide."
