A detailed poem about heartbreak and how I feel about it! Help Please!
Frustration boils beneath my skin,
The sorrow showing on my face.
My eyes churn with emotions I’ve never experienced.
You see me stand my ground,
Acting strong.
On the inside my heart deteriorates from the poison.
The poison that just left your lips,
My eye squints trying to keep my tears inside,
Inside so it doesn’t give me away.
Then I feel it slip out,
Gliding slowly down my face.
Sucking the happiness out of my life.
Regret hits me hard,
Like an ice shard digging into my skin.
You turn around to walk away,
I grab your hand at the last second.
While the last words that I wanted to say,
Hold on tight to my tongue,
Clings for its life.
Then it sputters out;
Don't go!
