A poem that describes time in a few different perspectives.
The Teacher

Time.

Something you can’t keep,
Something you can’t stop,
Something you can’t change.

Oh, how many times I’ve wanted to keep,
You’ve wanted to keep.
We’ve all wanted to keep.
Forever.

By the time we adapt,
Things change.
Life changes,
We change.

Time.

It’s an onward process,
A brutal teacher that has its jokes.
A clown with a colorful, jolly face,
But at the end of the day, wipes it off.

Time.

You miss it when it’s gone.
You regret it when it’s wrong.
You love it when it’s right.

You learn from it anyway.
