A poem about a crappy relationship, heh.
My heart remembers
the pain and the fights,
The lying the cheating,
the staying up all night
Sobbing and wailing,
Tragically failing,
failing to find your humanity.
Your compassion, your pity.
Your pity on the person who you stood over.
Stood over and spat on, right on her heart.
You tore her apart, you tore her apart.

My heart remembers that loving feeling
A feeling so real it was almost tangible.
Remembers the softness in your voice,
The sweetness of your words, the love in your touch.

The beauty of my damaged heart is that,
Though it cannot forgive,
It cannot forget.
