This is a poem about my feelings about some one I cared for deeply for a long time.
Grieving

Soaring through the depths of my soul
Nothing befits my dreams and goal
Yearning for the place where I belong.
That feels right and not so wrong.

So if I could just melt away
And see you for one more day,
Would it feel the same back in my comfort zone-
Yet seeing your disappointment groan?

If I could speak – where would I begin?
With the specious charm to which I sing,
Weighted like storm clouds behind moulded glass
Reluctant to let the moment pass.

Emotions exposed and inhibitions set free
You could then see what you’ve done to me.
So if I cried my tears and laid myself bare,
But would you know or even care?

But time has passed and I am free
Trying to find a brand new me.
I do what I do and say what I say
Just getting through another day.

So this is just another lamentous song
Along with others of the same throng
Nothing different you might say
Until its your own price to pay!
