My entry to the Crimson-Twilight poetry contest
Revel in the beauty of a crimson moon on a cold dark night
Enjoy the thrill of knowing the things that lurk just out of sight
Of ghosts and monsters and the demons bane
No dear, don't question it, We're all insane

In this world of the dark and dreary we all live in complete insanity
The longer you live in the night, the more you lose of humanity
But you don't care because life is your throne
Of flesh and blood and tears and bone

You watch the moon and twirl  to a twisted tune
Darkness takes you in his arms and you hope it won't end soon
Stars held above head like a ghostly banner
And watch in amusment at you, graveyard dancer

In your head you dance with a lover, unattained
When in reality its only you and tombstones, tearstained
The warped dreams that dance through your head
Are always better then reality, here with the grateful dead
