pain of betrayal by my father, once trusted and cherished. (not sexual abuse)
A BETRAYAL THAT TEARS, IMPALES MY VERY CORE
DEEP AND DESTRUCTIVE, FOREVER IS A LIE
TRUTH LAUGHS, IT WAS NEVER ALIVE

ALL I BELIEVED, NEVER BELONGED TO ME
OUT OF SOFTNESS AND COMFORT, COMES COLD, JAGGED
SCREAMS

GRIEF IN THE FACE OF CRUELTY
LIFE NOW DEAD AND DISEASED
A GAPING WOUND THAT WILL NEVER SCAR, NEVER HEAL
A THICK, STINGING BLANKET COVERS ME
BLIND ME AGAIN, I DO NOT WANT TO SEE

TAKE MY WORDS, GO ON, GO AHEAD
TWIST THEM, SELL THEM
FOR MORE POWER, MORE LIES
A FINAL GIFT FOR YOU TO MURDER
