I wrote this 3 years ago...I think we all at some point can relate to this scenario.
I`m so scared,
to be loved by someone.
I want you in my life,
but I can`t get hurt again.

I dial your number,
as my fingers are shaking uncontrolably.
I listen to the rings,
as they conform to my heartbeat.

I`m getting nervous now,
thinking if you`ll pick up.
"Please pick up," I say aloud,
and my breathing becomes shallow.

You`re the one I want,
in my heart and my life.
Just pick up the phone,
and all will be well.

The question to be asked,
is if you will pick up.
Will you start our relationship,
or will you end it by hanging up?
