Red

The colour red,
Signifies passion and power,
And also danger , death, defeat,
But dark, dark red,
Is the darkest, blackest hue of red,
It is the colour of the blood,
That slowly oozes out of the bullet-wound,
Received by a valiant soldier,
Slowly draining him of his life,
It is the colour of the tears,
That flows out from the eyes,
When someone is cruelly betrayed,
Slowly draining them of their emotions,
It is the colour of anger,
Supreme, destructive, powerful,
Which bursts out like a Vesuvius,
Slowly draining one of one's sanity,
It is the colour of vices and sins,
Hatred, jealousy, slander, violence,
Every vilest aspect of life,
Slowly draining one of one's humanity,
It is the voice of the Devil,
The voice which leads one astray,
Into the crimson depths of Hell,
Slowly draining one of one's faith,
Yea, but dark red is dark in all respect,
The only colour in our life we need to forget.
