A poem I wrote to show the troubles of those that turn to violence and reckless behaviour
A whisper in the night,
as a girl screams with fright.
My head is on fire but the flames will never die,
whenever they come I want to scream out and cry.
I see you all pointing, and nodding your head,
a pill in my hand you say will subside the dread.
Take one before bed and drift off to sleep,
think not of bad thought and I promise you shall not weep.
These tears that I share, are from the pain I have caused,
murdering the innocent to the sound of thunderous applause.
A hero to some, to others a menace,
playing both sides like a war in the game of tennis.
No pity or sorrow for those that are lost,
they knew that their actions would have a greater cost.
So label me as crazy, but by the end of this night,
you will look up at me and wish you hadn't picked this fight.
Goodnight young princess, silence is the key,
head towards the light to end your pain and misery.
