A poem I wrote in honour of actress Summer Glau
You’re just a girl, everyone says
But that doesn't explain
Why you’re in my head.

Thought I don’t know
Your smell or your taste
Every time I close my eyes
All I see is your face.

I know your smile
Can light up a room
I’d watch you dance
To any tune.

The only thing dark about you is your hair
It makes me laugh
When it goes everywhere.

I wish this poem didn't have to end
And I could tell you
All the thought I hide within.

But we both have lives
That we must return to
And no matter how many poems I write
Over years, months, days or hours.

Up here in my glass tower
This poem is yours, Summer Glau
Forever.
