One of my favorite Tanka poems that I did a while back
To those around me

Who say I am ignorant

Who constantly mock

And try to belittle me

For the beliefs I stand for



I say this to you

Who are you to hoot and jeer

Like gibbering apes?

Gnawing at my firm resolve

Without a hope of success



Are your own beliefs

So hopeless and pathetic

That you attack mine?

Is it solice you hope for?

Or relief from jealousy
