Reminiscence of an impossible, favored love. His perspective.
I've shed a tear
As I've done before,
That makes this nothing new.

Her hair, golden brown,
Her lips satin red,
Her eyes the bluest of blue.

Her smile's so bright,
Her laugh a delight,
Her friendship - tried and true.

Her manners pristine,
Her aura devine,
She certainly is not a shrew.

I've shed a tear,
as I've done before,
but this tear, I shed for you.
