Another poem for my ex
No matter how much I try to forget you
You creep back into my mind
And even when I say I don’t care
There are still feelings for you that I find

Was it the warmth of your arms
When I was pulled into your embrace
That made me feel so safe and loved
And that you were my special place?

Or was it the tender kiss
You placed upon my lips and cheek
With your petal soft lips that the memory of
Only makes my heart feel gray and bleak?

I long to hear your voice again
And hold you close to me
But to be with you is merely a dream
Since you stopped loving me in reality
