My Sister's Wedding
My Sister's Wedding

I was the bridesmaid,
At my sister’s wedding.
I couldn’t tell her,
Her dress looked like bedding.

Her hair went up,
And promptly fell down.
It’s such a shame,
So did the gown!

The best man tripped,
And there flew the rings.
I’m pretty certain this wasn’t,
How she wanted things.

The groom was late,
And slightly drunk.
Aunt Agatha’s dress,
Looked like it’d shrunk.

The band was playing
The Funeral March.
I think someone washed,
My dress with starch!

Finally they reached the altar,
And were about to say their ‘I Do’s’.
But just before they tied the knot,
The bride said, ‘I refuse’!
