Something I sometimes try to feel

To realise
I am
Is all we truly have
And need
For the rest will surely
Crumble to dust
But I am
Like the perpetual tide
Is eternal


Sometimes my breath creaks
With piercing pain
A cacophony
Of weeping emotion

Some times my breath
Stills
And becomes an oasis
Of peaceful tranquility

Sometimes my breath is enough
For in the sweet moments
I realise
I am.
