An injured bird in a petstore
He sits alone just waiting

For someone there to see

Just how kind

How wonderful

How great that he can be

He sits alone so frightened

As the world around him grows

Giants moving through his land

Are they friendly

No one knows

He sits alone in a corner

There is not a place to hide

He makes himself small

Tries to be invisible

He sits alone forever

His mates so far away

Is it better to be bullied

Or to be locked up alone far away

Where giants roam

And always scare

With no one around

To show they care

Poor baby boy

One giant cares
