An on going poetic conversation, and sharing of pain.
MillerShelly

Battered and broken, forsaken and lost,

Blood-Red tears trail down my face.

My heart so cold, cloaked with frost,

Denying memories I can't erase.

Seeking solace from behind my wall,

I try to pretend that I am alright.

No one to catch me when I fall,

No hero to defend me in this fight.

My silent scream, no one hears,

As I lie broken and all alone.

Small and defenseless, I cower in fear,

My hurt, my pain, all my own.

Does anyone wonder, worry or care,

For this little lost boy once held so dear?

Who will take his pain to bear,

And let him love without this fear?

These tears flow down my face

Hoping my pain would erase

Take me far from this place

To a quiet state of grace

Shackled here to my pain

Only hope a short refrain

As agony wracks my tortured frame

I scream out, never again

Now I lay, so dead inside

Every tear already cried

I no longer shrink, or even hide

No plan, I haven’t tried

Emotion gone, needed no more

A statue I am, frozen to my core

For what was done, behind closed door

Shall stay with me evermore

The little girl quickly learned to hide

All her tears deep inside

From those who sought to seal her fate

In a land of madness, fear, and hate

Given life, to ease the need

Of her father's sin and his greed

Then discarded, left to wander, in this lonely hell

Ravaged mind, broken heart, left an empty shell

Lost in darkness, just a wraith

A little girl with no faith

Her innocence was shattered

As her soul was battered

In this darkness, her spark is dying

All alone, no one hears her crying

A girl and her fate

A boy and his hate

A wall they build

A hole never filled

Time carried on

Tormentors now gone

The scars carry fear

Letting no one else near

We move through the void

Cold and alone

Seeking shelter

Our hearts home

The tears we shed

And how we bled

The pain of which they fed

Our heart's were bleeding red

Chained and bound

Without a sound

No one around

To see us drown

Lost within the broken child

Lies a fear, raw and wild

An innocence long defiled

Never more, meek and mild

Our tears, they can't erase

The pain etched on our face

Nor take us to a place

where our demons will not chase.
