the weekend begins
Friday Night

the world is beautiful
      the rain is pouring
      down outside
        i can't remember
        the last time
          this life actually
          got any sleep
and the world is so beautiful
            heart is hammering
            a mile a minute
              all of my friends
              are at a show
                right down the street
                my wallet too empty
                  old familiars now
                  unwitting obscure
                                      so the light sparks at home alone
and i can't help but to think about
                    how beautiful
                    my little world is
