A random poem I wrote, to get back to writing

A usual accompaniment to those dastardly days

When you’ve got all the time in the world,

And nothing to do, except give that fly swatter a swirl!

There is something about this mistress that you've got to admit

I wouldn't want to even scratch my nose, makes me that lazy

Boy does she numbs your mind to make you go, ironically, crazy

Boredom slows down time, funny at that

Because all I remember of a boring day,

Is of sunshine, darkness, then hitting the hay

In retrospection, the feeling of utter nothingness

Is something to be grateful for

Taught me relax, reminisce and learn something new: like not to snore

And so ends me shoddy rhyme

Hope you had fun while it killed some of your time

Now skedaddle! I've got to find that missing tooth of mine…
