random thoughts

i lay awake at night,
and ponder about life,
from the trees, to the stars,
to the billions of one-celled organisms in the world.
when a person thinks this much,
it tends to drive them crazy,
always questioning each aspect of life.
if life could be simple,
there would be no suicide,
no rape, no murder, no criminal behavior,
but also no law and no structure,
we would live, and we would die,
nothing more, nothing less.
would this be better than the hard trials,
that we face, every day of our lives?
