Watching a friend go through life's trials and in the end cancer.
Distant Observation

Amanda, I have not known you long.
From the start, I knew you were strong.
One by one, have come life’s challenges;
the devils game to offset the balances.
The fist knock upon your door,
took the one who loved you more.
The Father replenished your heart,
preparing you for the next to start.
Soon Baby girl’s daddy was taken,
and once again you were shaken.
Your faith did not wane,
      only a tear did remain.

Now, one of God’s faithful servants
      has stumbled, but not fallen.
Listen to the voice that is calling.
When your eyes are set on Him,
      the devil cannot get in.
With Satan in pursuit,
      God’s love does circumvent.

As God is still your shield,
      your faith will not yield.
His arms are waiting to carry,
      when you become weary
As today has passed,
Know, it is not the last.

Life is accomplished in His time.
We are His rhythm and His rhyme.
Your sweetest music is yet to shine.
