A darker poem for my darker days.
Scream at me
Cut me down
Bruise my ego
Make me frown

I bite my tongue
Hold back the pain
Repress the anger
Loosen a vein

Streams of blood
Rivers of tears
You never notice
Not for years

I cry again
But keep it inside
I never share
The feelings I hide

The time will come
You’ll soon regret
I’ll end the pain
So you’ll never forget
