This is a poem I wrote about a good friend of mine.
When I see your face, it feels like home.
My fears are gone, my heart is calm.
The sting of their words dissolve away
Your voice holds their taunts at bay.

They throw their words without a thought,
words that make my heart distraught.
Like, "You of all people" when they don't know.
But my heart is stilled at your hello.

You fix my mood with just a glance,
You jump to help at every chance.
You talk it out, you're always there.
Their words are diminished because I know you care.
