A short poet about a critic who suffered the consequences of his actions
He was seated at his desk with his pen in his hand
His head lay on top of his well used writing pad

Forensics took their pictures and were baffled at the scene
No evidence was found of intruders in this den

This author was well known for the writing from his pen
The proof was in the grandeur he was living in

When they moved the body the evidence was found
The words that he had written were both lethal and profound

He’d made himself a living from the words he dabbled in
But, one too many times he had used his poison pen
