An exploration of rhyme
She’s after proof the earth leaps too.
That it rises and falls,
In great mountainous walls,
Like her, the earth leaps too.

She’s after proof the earth leaps too.
Looking for the invisible change,
Hidden at the edge of the visual range,
Like her, the earth leaps too.

She’s after proof the earth leaps too.
She stands there for hours,
Through the afternoon showers,
But the earth refuses to move,
As though it might disapprove,
Of the tap-tap of shoes and the fidgeting of arms.

She spun around,
To see the sun going down,
And just for a moment,
one brief intangible moment,
the stone’s demeanor slips,
the upturned corners of laughing lips.
Like her, the earth leaps too.
