A poem I wrote when I was 12 . Complaining about the government, any advice appreciated.
I dream of a better age,
people get paid a better wage,
free from the political cage,
free to express their rage.

The road is rolling,
in front of us unfolding,
to a world of distrust,
to a world unjust.

And as I lay there curled,
dreaming of this better world,
it occured to me,
if we could just see,
it's just around the corner...

but reality seems to be,
a different world,
on the streets the homeless plee,
the truth unfurled...

The government turns away,
says it'll sort the problem another day,
of course that day will never come,
do they think we're that dumb?

We know the truth,
we just need the proof,
it lies behind those smart black ties,
and emerald green lying eyes...
