heartbreak
There’s only so much a man can take.
Before his fragile heart will break.
His soul crushed against the floor.
He’s been beat and thrown out the door.
Left for dead, but clinging to life.
Stabbed heart, your clenching the knife.

He’ll move on to the next possible heartache.
Hopefully this one won’t be another mistake.
The heart heals slowly they say.
Especially when there was foul play.
Over time he’ll learn to love once more.
And on that day, there’ll be nothing to cry for.
