Will you answer when lust comes to visit?
You speak of love, a nonsensical word;
your sense of reality worldly blurred.

Tempting thoughts tickle your inhibitions.
"Quiet, prudish angels; do not listen."

My name is simple, one you’ll come to trust;
made of greed and gluttony, I am lust.

Shiver . . . shake . . .  your silence shrieks at my door.
Step through my child, be envious no more.

Pride evaporates as naked you stand;
obedience - my only command.

Lay as a sloth, I’ll present you treasures,
expert tongue teaching of guilty pleasures.

Tracing chilled veins that pulse with precious blood,
fear intoxicating like a fresh bud.

The wrath of my hand, caress of my thumb;
resolve unwinds, all conscience undone.

Your master, your leader, your king, your saint.
You’ll know no other; show complete restraint.

Drenched with desire, your demons have won.
Surrender to me; uniting as one.
