The effect of silence on my psyche.
Moving to Silence

Whirring cars headed places
Exhaust fumigating the landscape
Take into my lungs their poison.

Voices raised in protest
Shout words clouding the air
My ears full of cacophony.

My system over run with noise
Thoughts bounce off brain walls
No room to move.

Away from the ordinary
Seek out peace
Silence is a great healer.
