Nothing is as it may seem, when you're walking through a dream.
Now I lay down to sleep,
as thoughts of you always creep,
upon me while lie in bed.
Oh! The thoughts running through my head.

A soundless sleeper I used to be.
Now your face haunts me.
I wake up crying in the night,
creeping darkness gives me a fright.

Dreams fading like a tan,
unlike this unforgettable man.
Moments pass without waking.
Suddenly stirred by annoying shaking.

The sound of footsteps walking away,
more pain with every coming day.
Forgetting who you used to be,
the future and present, now I see.

Waking up with a jump,
falling, landing with a thump.
Nothing is as it may seem,
when you're walking through a dream.
