A poem is like a song,

A song sung from the heart;

A poem is like a rose,

A red, red rose blossoming in the spring.

A poem is like a good book,

A book that never gets old;

A poem is like art,

Beautiful and rare;

A poem is like a child,

With a hidden secret;

A poem is like life,

Life that is more precious every day.
