Describes someone facing the wrong direction
You take in life one step at a time,
Trying to win, succeed, and shine,
But how can you do these things,
When you're running out of time,

You think you're looking in the right direction,
You think you're taking things section by section,
This is not true,
This is not right,
you're standing on ice,
That is mighty light,

You're blind to the fact of truth,
Seeing things of youth,
What i'm trying to say you ask,
In other words,
You're bent over backward,

You think up is down,
You can't pick out a sound,
If you don't stop with this nonsense,
You're surely gunna drown,

In other words,
You're bent over backward,

You believe in things of lies,
Your decisions aren't very wise,
You're filled with tons of "Why's"

Surely you can see this,
Surely you have doubts,
All you really need is,
A major turning around,

Please don't get offended,
All I'm trying to say is,
Your feet are tangled,
Your eyes are crossed,
You need a change,
Before you get tossed,

In other words...

You're bent over backward
