A poetic reflection on pregnancy (part of a series).
The First of Nine

The world is waiting right now,
as the snow begins a slow melt
the brown grass below holds its breath,

and I am radiant right now,
I peek out the windows to acclimatize the world to my new love
and the world is waiting for me.
