This is about when I almost drown swimming with my friends one day. Scared me to death.
As the boat flies, For me I do not cry.
As we pull up, I hear short cries,
For this is the cries of laughter.
As I jump I take a deep breath, for this could be the last.
As I swim I see bubbles float to the top for me letting out my breath.
I go to the surface expecting nothing, for there is a bright light,
For this is the sun. Hot burning sun.
My friends gather we swim like a school of fish.
For this I could live a long life of blackness.
The cries are gone and the blackness is here.
I lost my friends, where did they go?
I promised them that I would stay with them forever.
I have failed them.
As my last bubble floats up, I float down.
For this is the blackness of death.
