The Night House

The light shines over the ocean

Where souls died in the wide open

As they float upon the sea

Wishing to be set free

No longer bearing any life

They are now only orbs of light

The waves splashing, blocking out the sound

The smoke and fog are all around

There isn't much I can do

Except feel pitty for all of you

The air goes still and quiet

The Earth vibrates from the silence

When the light goes out

To the night house

Souls are sifting, crying

I don't even know why they're trying

When the clouds block the light

You see them clearly in the night

No longer just small orbs

But souls walking toward the shore

You hear them all at once

While waves make the whispers hushed

Like waves in sea shells

Among the booey's ringing bell

The air goes still and quiet

The Earth vibrates from the silence

When the lights go out

To the night house
