The new year...
January Starts

Woe to the joys of a new year
Blindly fumbling my way through the streets
Through the unknown darkness that I fear
Until the ground I cannot see drops from under my feet

I thought a new year was supposed to free
I pull my hood up as it rains
There is no hope of freedom that I can see
Just another year of mistakes to add to my chains

My soul despairs
Forced to dwell in the past year
I've gotten used to the fact that life isn't fair
My hope of deliverance is nowhere near

Oh, Unknown Tomorrow
What will you bring?
I watch as my mistakes continue to grow
I wish there was a way to end my suffering

Always haunted by my past wrongs
Unable to make them leave
To my troubled mind they sing sorrowful songs
Through my doubtful mind they weave

The future fills me with dread
The past pains me to the core
I spend the present in my bed
Trying to think of this life no more,

Think of this life no more!
