Oh, despair
How I know thee
Such a safe, yet dark blanket
Hardly keeping out the cold
Yet so easy to wrap up in
You will always be my friend
When nothing's going right
You will be there.

Oh, despair
How you protect me
From the world
From myself
You understand me, you know me
When I need you, you love me
I will forever adore thee
