Circle of Knots

Circle of knots, you hold the key,
To unlock the doors, of great mystery.

We come here all torn, scattered and broken,
Silent and separate, some voices unspoken.

Together we gather, to be ourselves free,
Away from our enemies and disharmony.

The journey begins, first from within,
To find those dark places, some will call sin.

Bound and tied tight, inside we are caught,
We seek the truth, to untie the knot.

Circle of old, circle of young,
Who are your daughters and who are your sons?

Circles of love, circles of joy,
Peace like a dove, in the hands of a small boy.

Once we are in, can find the way out?
Only with others, the solution is about.

Circles of rich, circles of poor,
Let’s come together, and leave from the same door.

Why must we be, all tangled in knots,
When love is the key, to undo the locks?

The colors move in, the colors move out,
Red, brown and black, white, yellow we shout!

First we breathe in, then we breathe out,
Circle of knots, leave nobody out.

Over and under, we tie ourselves up,
Into the spaces, we will not give up.

Circle of knots, circle of hearts,
We are not robots, nor merely functioning parts.

Cycles and seasons, go on without reasons,
Why can’t we humans, just be illumined?

Circles of pride, that just build our egos,
Why can’t we fly, up with the eagles?

Some of us talk, some of us walk,
What is the difference, what is your preference?

Circles of love, circles of hate,
Why do they cross, and then separate?

Sometimes we sing, sometimes we pout,
Who do we let in, who do we keep out?

Into the dark, and into the night,
A candle within, is our guiding light.

Circle of love, circle of hate,
One seeks to give, the other to berate.

Into the center, the space small and tight,
Because we do know, the wrong from the right.

Circle of fire, circle of air,
What will you burn, and release to the atmosphere?

Afraid and alone, it feels like I’ve died,
Embarrassed and ashamed, I just want to hide.

Earth, moon and sun, the horizon so wide,
Waxing and waning, the movement of the tide.

Who will follow, and who will lead,
To a place in our hearts, who will plant the seed?

Blind we once were, without our sight,
We emerge from the dark, in search of the light.

Out into the world, we go to spread the word,
On the wings and heels, of what we just heard.

Circle of water, circle of earth,
On what will you feed, and then give birth?

The center that was, once the reality,
Is now the illusion, in its totality.

Those that once belonged, only to the margins,
Have become the center, in spite of others’ illusive chagrins.

King had a dream, to work within the system,
To redefine the center, one based on wisdom.

Surrender the ego, set free the pride,
Let love rule, the domain from inside.

You are not me, and I am not you,
Somewhere in between, we will know who.

Those who attempt to agitate, from a space of confusion,
Only lead others, into the illusion.

What is true, and what is right,
Can only be known, by journeying into the light.

Sacred spaces within, sacred spaces without,
Which do you choose, which do you doubt?

Circle of knots, circle of places,
Into each others web, of multi-dimensional spaces.

Look not with your eyes, but into your hearts,
For there you will find, wholeness in the parts.

Circle of spaces, circle of knots,
Out we now go, with brand new thoughts.

Untangling the strands, that we have created,
Weaving a new web, like the prayerful rug of a native.

Out into the world, we have been rearranged.
Where do we go, now that we’ve changed?

The future lies ahead, but now we are different.
The past is now dead, as we live in the present.

Circle of knots, circle of hope,
Wash us all clean, with your healing soap.

Circle of love, circle of places,
Help us to fill, in between the spaces.

Outward we go, from within we came,
Help us create, a world without blame.
