This is a poem i wrote for my only daughter, Lailah.

Completely aware of your ambitions, sought within your dreams,
And sharing your determination, leaves me to comfortably seem,
Sure of your passion, your courage, and the gameness of your guise,
Locks of pearls, to compliment, eager, unbruised, captivating blue eyes,
Partaking in all the fears, in which, you'll receive from this earth,
Teaching you priority, willfulness, and soaring heights of self worth,
All your sorrows or shame, I forever engage,
Whether, keeping you grounded or inspired, with each maturing page,
Unyeildingly plunging depths, into the soul, to which you hold,
To accurately cast perfection, calls upon you, for it's mold,
Knowing the intrigue of such desires, tasting most, therefore finding fate, may require,
Singing aloud every lyric of your heart, etched herein my chest, safely, when together or apart,
Enwrapped wholey, with the comfort of your being, certain not the greatest obstacle, could keep me from seeing,
Astounding, wistful potential and courage you've created in me,
Binding eternal love, mother and daughter, is infinity,
In addition, assured, I wouldn't have designed her any other way,
And always, I'm there, you complete my nights, and enchant my every new day.

DEDICATED TO LAILAH
